Very dissappoited as we've eaten at other locations. Everything is greatly overpriced as well. Simple hamburger was a store bought patty, no seasoning and well over cooked. Hash was still cold in the middle and not cooked. Milford, MI – Oakland County Times is on a quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County, and our most recent dining adventure took us to Anna’s House in Milford. There are several locations across the state, but they are spread apart enough that each feels like a local gem.

The décor is the same in all the restaurants, Fatum said, with a 1950s-1960s retro diner, bright and cheery, look and feel, including music from the era, booths, tables, and a snack bar counter. The menu at Anna’s House seeks to meet dietary needs for a variety of diners, offering vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free items, as well as guiltier pleasures, or what Fatum refers to as “more rich,” dishes. The popular Michigan breakfast chain that got its start in Grand Rapids two decades ago announced last fall its intention to open in Milford. It now has locations in Grandville, Holland, Kalamazoo, Westland, Ann Arbor, Grand Haven and Okemos, as well as Beltline and Plainfield avenues in Grand Rapids.

They are so careful and the food is so good, so many options. My daughter was severely glutened after eating gluten free pancakes here. She has been fine eating here before but not this time.
I ordered mine over medium, so the yolk could mix with all the ingredients. It also comes with toast and there are lots of choices for that, including English Muffin, Texas Toast, Multi-Seed Keto Toast, and Biscuit. Wondering if Anna’s House is worth the hype?

Anna’s House, which also serves lunch, offers plenty of fresh home-cooked meals daily and also aims to provide all-natural local ingredients in every dish. Fatum spoke by phone from Grand Rapids, where the restaurant that also serves breakfast opened in 2003. In 2005, it was purchased by Joshua Beckett, who opened a second location in Grand Rapids and in 2012, his restaurant was named Michigan’s Best Breakfast by MLive. Over the past eight years, the chain has opened eight more restaurants, including those in Westland and Ann Arbor.
Anna's House, which currently operates 9 restaurants across Michigan, has plans to open new locations in Milford and Grand Rapids in the fourth quarter of 2023. Anna’s House is also known for their sweet selections, including the Anna’s Cinnamon Roll. This monster of a roll is sliced in half and stuffed with a cinnamon cream cheese frosting, with even more frosting on top. Other sweet selections include the Chocolate Quinoa Breakfast Bowl, Anna’s Belgian Waffle, and Candied Pecan and Banana French Toast.
"With the employees, this place will be amazing. We will get to know our guests by name and they will become regulars. We will be ready to welcome you with open arms." The roughly 180-seat capacity restaurant has an eclectic, fun, pastel decor, with a ’50s retro vibe. Diners may recognize tributes to the TV series "Alice," with characters who worked in Mel's Diner featured in the hand-painted murals on restroom doors.
